This afternoon, February 24, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh chaired a meeting to listen to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant departments, branches, and localities to hear reports on preparations for the 2025 International Travel Conference - Quang Nam.
According to information at the meeting, the 2025 International Travel Conference - Quang Nam is expected to take place for 3 days, from March 6 to 9, 2025, in Hoi An, My Son and Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Area. Preparations are being accelerated with many important contents.
Currently, there are 3 international travel agencies and about 145 domestic agencies confirmed to attend. The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has coordinated with FVG Travel Group Joint Stock Company to conduct a preliminary survey and develop a detailed program. The workshop will be chaired by representatives of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
The workshop will have a welcome performance with 3 performances at Dong Giang Heaven Gate, including performances by the Co Tu people. The Gala Dinner held in Hoi An will also include solo performances, modern dance, and Bai Choi exchanges.
The workshop will also announce important decisions. Signing a memorandum of cooperation on tourism development between Quang Nam and domestic and international enterprises. Announcing the tourism development corridor of Quang Nam province: "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate Heritage Route: Where nature meets culture".
At the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the Provincial People's Committee approve the survey program, workshop, and guest list. Recommend that the Provincial People's Committee speed up the upgrading of the DT 609 route to serve the workshop.
Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh emphasized that the International Travel Conference - Quang Nam 2025 is an important event, contributing to promoting Quang Nam on the international tourism map. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, Duy Xuyen district, Hoi An City, and FVG to review all preparations, especially re-survey the entire DT 609 route. Relevant units must be proactive and carefully prepare the contents to organize the conference successfully and effectively.
