On the morning of February 19, 2025, after a period of serious, responsible, and democratic work, the Quang Nam Provincial People's Council (10th tenure) closed the 29th session, completing the entire agenda. The session passed 6 important resolutions, creating a foundation for implementing key tasks in 2025 and the following years
The Provincial People's Council agreed to adjust the economic growth rate (GRDP) in 2025 to reach at least 10%, to create a strong breakthrough in economic development.
At the session, the delegates also resolved several important contents on personnel work, including the dismissal of the duties of Provincial People's Council delegates and the dismissal of the position of Provincial People's Committee members for the 2021-2026 term by regulations, ensuring objectivity and democracy.
The meeting also discussed and unanimously voted to approve the Resolution approving the structure of professional agencies under the Provincial People's Committee. Accordingly, from 19 affiliated professional agencies, after establishment, merger, and reorganization, the Provincial People's Committee has 13 units (equivalent to a reduction of 31.6% compared to the Central's requirement of 15-20%).
In his closing speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly direct departments, branches, and sectors to implement the approved resolutions, ensure implementation progress, and report fully according to regulations. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee needs to continue to review and perfect support policies, ensuring smooth operations of agencies, units, enterprises, and people's lives.
In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized the role of People's Council delegates and leaders at all levels and sectors in proactively and resolutely implementing development solutions, making good use of opportunities to improve the province's competitiveness.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council called for the cooperation and consensus of the entire political system, business community, and people in the province to effectively implement development goals, contributing to the increasingly strong development of Quang Nam.
