At the 29th session of the 10th Provincial People's Council, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates voted to adjust the province's GRDP growth in 2025 from 9.5 - 10% to 10%.
Accordingly, at the 29th session of the 10th term Quang Nam Provincial People's Council this morning (February 19), the Head of the Economic-Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc presented the results of the examination of the Economic-Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council on adjusting the economic growth rate (GRDP) in 2025 in Resolution No. 59/NQ-HDND dated December 6, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council on the socio-economic development plan, ensuring national defense and security in 2025.
At this session, delegates discussed and approved the proposal to adjust the growth target of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2025 at the request of the Provincial People's Committee.
Accordingly, based on Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP dated February 5, 2025, of the Government on the target of national economic growth of 8% or more, the Government assigned the GRDP growth target of Quang Nam province in 2025 to be 10%. Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee has submitted to the Provincial People's Council to adjust the GRDP growth target in Resolution No. 59/NQ-HDND dated December 6, 2024, from 9.5% - 10% to 10% to match the general orientation.
The Economic-Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council has reviewed and determined that this adjustment is necessary, to ensure feasibility and matching the targets assigned by the Government. The Committee also requested the Provincial People's Committee to deploy drastic tasks and solutions to achieve the growth target, including developing specific action plans for each stage (month, quarter, year) and assigning responsibility for implementation to the heads of agencies, units, and localities. Complete the economic growth scenario for 2025, and report to the Ministry of Planning and Investment in February 2025. Ensure economic development goes hand in hand with social security, improve people's lives, and maintain national defense - security and social order and safety.
With high consensus, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates voted to adjust the GRDP growth target for 2025, creating an important foundation for Quang Nam province to continue to develop sustainably and complete the set goals.
