On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on the afternoon of February 11, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee - Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet led a working delegation of the province to visit and congratulate Military Bank (MB) in Hanoi. The delegation included the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office, and leaders of the Department of Information and Communications.
Mr. Luu Trung Thai, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of MB, said that in 2024, MB achieved many outstanding results, affirming its position and strong development in the finance-banking sector.
Specifically, the total assets of the whole Group reached over VND 1,128,800 billion, an increase of nearly 20% compared to 2023 and exceeding the 2024 plan, entering the top 5 banks with total assets of over VND 1 million billion. In addition, customer deposits reached VND 714,154 billion (up 25.8%) and outstanding customer loans reached VND 776,658 billion, up 27.1% over the previous year.
The Group's pre-tax profit reached VND 28,829 billion, up 9.6% over 2023, exceeding the 2024 plan. In particular, the bank's own pre-tax profit reached VND 27,639 billion, up 12.0% over 2023. MB Group maintained outstanding efficiency indicators such as ROE reaching about 21.2% and ROA at about 2.2%, among the top in the banking industry, contributing VND 8,600 billion to the State budget in 2024.
MB's goal in 2025 is to continue to affirm its position and improve its operational efficiency, with challenging targets: profit growth of 8%, striving for 10%; revenue growth of over 22%; reaching 35 million customers; bad debt ratio below 1.7%.
Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet congratulated the achievements and thanked the Military Bank for its interest in investing in the financial business in Quang Nam, especially MB for its great support for the province in the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, which is very practical and meaningful.
The Quang Nam Provincial Party Secretary wished MB to continue to affirm its position and improve its business efficiency to carry out its pioneering mission in the era of national development. He hoped that in the coming time, the Military Bank would continue to be a solid support for the people, including the people of Quang Nam province.
