This morning (February 19), the 10th term Quang Nam Provincial People's Council opened its 29th session under the chairmanship of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung, and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh and Nguyen Cong Thanh.
Attending the session were Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, National Assembly deputies of Quang Nam province, Provincial People's Council deputies, leaders of departments, branches and voters' representatives in the province.
In his opening speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung emphasized the special significance of this session, taking place at a time when the whole province is looking forward to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).
At this meeting, the Provincial People's Council will consider, discuss, and decide on many key contents, focusing on streamlining the apparatus associated with facilitating the payroll in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee. Some main contents include: Reviewing the Project on establishing, consolidating, merging, and approving the structure of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations. Discussing and approving the decision on the payroll of civil servants, the total number of people working with salaries from the state budget at agencies, units, and localities in 2025. Issuing policies to support leaders and managers with working age under one term to retire early or retire before retirement age from 2025 to 2029 to facilitate the process of arranging and organizing the apparatus. Discussing the adjustment of the GRDP growth rate according to the direction of the Government, ensuring the national growth target of 8% or more. Review and decide on personnel-related matters under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung affirmed that although the session was short, all the contents presented at the session had been carefully prepared, ensuring legality and practicality.
