On the morning of April 29, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a meeting to review the preparation work for the conference on the implementation of Decision No. 463 dated February 28, 2025, of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Developing and forming a medicinal plant industry center in Quang Nam province with Ngoc Linh ginseng as the key crop". Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu chaired the meeting.
According to the report at the meeting, the preparation work for the conference and the key contents have been completed such as the program, conference script framework, opening and closing speeches, invitations sent to Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and 212 delegates inside and outside the province; working with the venue; coordinating with Quang Nam Radio and Television Station to create a video on Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal plants; organizing a livestream of the conference on digital platforms of the Provincial Information Portal; Contact businesses to prepare gifts for delegates.
The total estimated budget for the conference is over VND 1.1 billion, of which the provincial budget supports VND 468 million (the Department of Finance has appraised and proposed to allocate 2 installments), and the remaining amount is expected to be mobilized from socialization.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu requested relevant units to continue to urgently coordinate and complete the remaining tasks while promoting the call for socialization to ensure resources to organize the conference according to plan by the stature of a national event, associated with the special potential of Ngoc Linh Ginseng in the strategy of developing medicinal economic resources in Quang Nam.
