On the morning of January 24, the Quang Nam Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education held a ceremony to award scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Mau - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Ms. Le Thi Thuy - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan and delegates awarded 97 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies. Of which, 23 scholarships were awarded to excellent students, each worth 3 million VND; 74 scholarships were awarded to students who have overcome difficulties, each worth 1.5 million VND.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan said: The scholarships awarded today are a great source of encouragement both materially and spiritually for the students, helping them to excel in their studies. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan hopes that the students will continue to develop, try harder, take care of training, and study to become useful people for society.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan also praised and acknowledged the efforts of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education in mobilizing and connecting funding sources to help those in difficult circumstances who are studious. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan also hopes that philanthropists and donors inside and outside the province will continue to pay attention, share, and support poor students in Quang Nam.
