On the afternoon of March 13, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, Phan Thai Binh, had a meeting to inspect and work with the Nam Giang District People's Committee on the implementation of the residential arrangement project in the Truong Son Dong area
According to the report of the Nam Giang District People's Committee, by November 28, 2024, the district had canceled the bid and was completing the re-bidding procedures, expected to open the bid on March 22, 2025. If progress is ensured, the leveling and handover of land to households will be completed in April 2025.
Accordingly, the project has a total area of 5.87 hectares with 31 households affected. By December 31, 2024, the district had approved 4 compensation plans, paying more than 6.4 billion VND to 19 households with an area of 4.73 hectares and handing over the site to Management Board 46 (Ministry of National Defense). However, there are still 1.14 hectares that have not been compensated because the households have not agreed on the compensation value and resettlement location, although the district has organized many meetings and dialogues.
Currently, there are 17 households affected in terms of residential land and housing, of which 9 households have land use right certificates (8 households have agreed on the resettlement plan), and 8 households do not have certificates and are being appraised for land arrangement in April 2025. Two resettlement areas are planned at Nam Giang Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Ho Chi Minh Road) and the district stadium area.
Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Phan Thai Binh, said that the project plays an important role in serving the "Truong Son Legend" Monument project under the Truong Son Dong Road Project. In the past, the locality has made certain efforts, but the progress is very slow.
In the coming time, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Nam Giang district to continue to propagate and mobilize the remaining households to agree on the plan and, at the same time, strengthen coordination and information exchange, speed up the progress. For households that do not agree, it is necessary to complete the documents for compulsory handling according to the law.
