On the afternoon of September 12, Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung co-chaired a working session with the Standing Committee of Tam Ky City Party Committee on the implementation of local political tasks from the beginning of 2024 to present and some main mission in the coming time. Attending the working session were the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh, and representatives of departments, branches, and sectors of the province.
Reporting at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Duy An - Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee said that the city has completed the procedural documents to deploy many key projects from 2024: Embankment, landscape road along Tam Ky River and resettlement area; Underground drainage ditch project along Trung Nu Vuong street; Tam Ky bus station in An Son ward. The city also proposed a project to improve the city's flood drainage capacity, including the following categories: Regulating the lake and drainage canal in the west of the inner city; reformative the capacity of Song Dam reservoir to drain flood water to Truong Giang River; upgrade and renovate the inner-city drainage system; embankment and road along Tam Ky river, etc.
At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung highly appreciated the determination of the city's leaders in solving urgent issues; the city is doing well in the fields of health, culture, education, green tree development, etc.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung suggested that Tam Ky needs to study the development direction of trade and services and night-time economic development. At the same time, continue to improve the quality of education and invest in infrastructure. Closely coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to manage and use the province's cultural and sports institutions in the city. Along with that, tighten discipline, public service discipline, and improve the attitude of civil servants to better serve the people and businesses.
Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet suggested that Tam Ky City pay attention to investing in coastal infrastructure and developing services that the city has advantages in such as shopping, banking and finance, health care, high-quality education, etc.
Along with that, reviewing planning, land use plans, paying attention to urban order and aesthetics associated with the issue of solving urban flooding. Promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, building smart cities, increasing the rate of online public services, etc.
