That was the emphasis of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his visit and working session at THACO Group on February 8.
On the side of Quang Nam province's leaders, there were comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Nguyen Duc Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and branches.
Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of THACO Group said that in 2025, THACO will continue to invest heavily in mechanical production and supporting industries. In the automobile sector, the group aims to sell more than 108,000 cars, with an estimated revenue of more than 80,000 billion VND.
Currently, THACO has more than 60,000 employees, of which THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park alone has more than 15,000 employees, of which the proportion of employees with university and post-graduate degrees accounts for 28% (equivalent to more than 4,100 people).
During the visit and working session, the Prime Minister asked THACO to continue to play a pioneering role in innovation, creativity, improvement of production, and business operations, accompanying the whole country in the process of accelerating development and strong breakthroughs. At the same time, he emphasized that if Quang Nam sets a growth target of 10%, THACO needs to achieve a growth rate of 12 - 15% in a comprehensive and sustainable direction.
Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Hyosung's factory in Tam Thang Industrial Park (Tam Ky City).
At Hyosung, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh listened to a report on the operation of HS Hyosung Company in Quang Nam. In 2025, Hyosung Quang Nam plans to expand its existing investment scale and promote new projects, bringing the total investment scale in Quang Nam to 1.34 billion USD.
Regarding Hyosung's proposals, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to report and propose amendments to regulations to remove obstacles related to the environmental sector. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs should study, promptly amend, and complete rules on granting licenses to foreign workers and experts, etc.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that in 2025, Vietnam will determine GDP growth of at least 8%, with double-digit growth in the coming years, so the group needs to stick to this target to build programs and projects, contributing to Vietnam's development. At the same time, Quang Nam province, based on the growth target assigned by the Government, encourages the whole province to strive to complete it this year.
