(QNP) - On the morning of November 14, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan had a working session with Tam Ky City on the implementation of national target programs in the city. Representatives of relevant departments and branches also attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Do Van Minh - Vice Chairman of the Tam Ky City People's Committee said: The national target program on new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction are two important programs implemented to promote socio-economic development, reduce poverty, and improve people's lives. In recent years, the city's political system at all levels has actively and resolutely participated in implementing the two programs in the area and achieved good results, contributing to the overall development of the city.
The city has 04 communes participating in the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, including: Tam Ngoc, Tam Thang, Tam Phu and Tam Thanh and the city has completed the task of building new rural areas, which has been recognized by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 474/QD-TTg dated March 29, 2021.
In the period of 2021-2025, Tam Ky City continues to maintain and improve standards according to the 2021-2025 Criteria Set; at least 02 communes meet the standards of advanced New Rural Communes; at least 02 communes meet the standards of model New Rural Communes; 19/24 villages meet the standards of model New Rural Villages; at least 10 typical and outstanding models; 33km of green trees; 04 communes meet the criteria for digital transformation at the commune level.
Regarding disbursement, Tam Ky City is closely directing and urging departments, offices, and localities to urgently implement and ensure the assigned plan. In 2024, the total allocated capital (including extended capital for 2022 and 2023) for Tam Ky is more than 18.4 billion VND. To date, the disbursement progress has reached more than 70%. The City People's Committee focuses on directing efforts to disburse 100% of the allocated capital by December 30, 2024.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan highly appreciated the work of building new rural areas in Tam Ky. Sharing the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the city's national target programs, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan suggested that Tam Ky clearly recognize the objective and subjective causes in order to have directions and breakthroughs, and maximize the strengths of the locality.
In the coming time, Tam Ky needs to continue to thoroughly raise awareness of responsibility in the local political system as well as among the people. Promote propaganda, create motivation, and spread the emulation movement to build new rural areas among the people.
In addition, the leaders of the City People's Committee need to closely direct and direct departments, offices, and localities to make specific plans, clearly identify tasks and goals. Assign specific responsibilities to each officer in charge and each locality. Balance the budget for implementation, and have a priority list of key projects and works. Coordinate closely with departments, offices, and sectors to promptly resolve problems and difficulties.
