This morning, September 19, a delegation of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association of Sekong province (Laos) led by Ms. Bun-hien Bun-chit - Chairwoman of the Lao Front Committee for National Construction, Chairwoman of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association of Sekong province visited and worked with the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Quang Nam province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Quang Nam province received and worked with the delegation.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Canh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Quang Nam province said that the two sides started implementing cooperation programs since 2012.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan assessed that in recent times, the Friendship Associations of Quang Nam and Sekong provinces have been the bridge for Quang Nam and Sekong provinces to maintain and promote the tradition of friendship and special solidarity between the two brotherly peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
Thereby contributing to further strengthening the friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the people's friendship organizations of the two countries, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national security and defense, and creating a more solid foundation for the friendly relationship between the two provinces.
Based on the content of coordinated activities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan said that in the coming time, the Friendship Associations of the two provinces will continue to grasp the viewpoints and policies of the two Parties thoroughly, and the two States in all fields. In particular, promoting the role of the Association in people-to-people diplomacy, diversifying friendship and cooperation activities for sustainable development.
Discussing the direction of cooperation and friendship in the coming time, Ms. Bun-hien Bun-chit - Chairman of the Lao Front Committee for National Construction, Chairman of the Lao - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sekong province said that the two sides will continue to propagate to the people of the two provinces about the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies and laws on foreign affairs in general and people-to-people diplomacy in particular of each country.
