This morning, November 5, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung chaired a regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to evaluate the direction and management work, the socio-economic situation in October, and deploy key tasks in October 2024.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung, Ho Quang Buu, and Tran Anh Tuan attended the meeting.
In October and the first 10 months of the year, the socio-economic development situation of Quang Nam province maintained a positive recovery, with some important results achieved in all sectors and fields.
The work of inspecting, urging, and removing difficulties and obstacles to promote the disbursement of public investment capital was resolutely implemented; accordingly, over 253 billion VND of the 2024 capital plan for projects with slow disbursement has been transferred to projects with good progress and disbursement to increase the disbursement rate and promote the effectiveness of public investment capital.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 10 months of 2024 has many positive changes, however, there are still many difficulties such as the number of newly registered enterprises decreased, the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market is still high, the disbursement of public investment capital is still slow, etc.
The head of the provincial government assigned specific tasks to each department and branch; at the same time, requested to review each target and annual plan, thereby finding solutions to effectively implement the assigned tasks.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested agencies and units to focus on completing district planning and zoning planning; continue to promote administrative reform, tighten public discipline; focus on disbursing public investment capital; strengthen the implementation of the task of collecting the state budget; proactively deploy plans and measures to prevent and combat natural disasters, promptly respond to complicated developments during the rainy and stormy season, minimizing damage to people and property.
Well implement national defense and security work, ensure social order and safety, traffic safety in the province; prevent, combat and strictly handle violators, do not let hot spots occur in the area, especially in the last months of the year, holidays, Tet, etc.
