Along with the whole country, this morning, September 5, more than 372,000 Quang Nam students attended the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024 - 2025. Provincial leaders attended and shared joy at the schools.
Alternate member of the Party Central Committee - Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet attended, presented flowers, and congratulated teachers and students of Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted (Hoi An City). Leaders of the Department of Education and Training and leaders of Hoi An City and Dien Ban Town were also attending.
In the 2023 - 2024 school year, Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted won 34 national excellent student awards, and this is also the first year the school has students winning the first prize at the national level. In addition, the school's students also won 52 medals in the traditional 30/4 Olympic Games in the South to help the school win first place among 75 participating units from Da Nang City to Ca Mau. In addition, student Do Phu Quoc won the Silver Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad (the first time Quang Nam has had it).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Vinh - Principal of Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted affirmed that preserving and promoting the great values that the school has built and summarized over the past 15 years is both a sacred responsibility and a source of pride for teachers and students of the school. In the context of many changes of the times, we not only face the choice between the familiar and the new but also face opportunities and challenges, between development and backwardness. Courage and wisdom to embrace change with a pioneering appearance; steadfastness, and dedication to affirming core values are both a rule-of-thumb path and a mission for the next generation.
Also at the opening ceremony, the school's leadership representative read the President's letter on the occasion of the opening day; at the same time, the school welcomed 315 new students of the 13th course and coordinated with units to award scholarships to students with excellent achievements and poor students who overcome difficulties to study well in the 2023-2024 school year.
