On the afternoon of April 16, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu chaired a meeting to listen to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related departments, agencies, and sectors report on preparations for the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented a detailed plan for this important event. The celebration aims to review the glorious tradition and honor the great contributions of Vietnam's revolutionary press while affirming the important role of the press in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
As planned, the meeting of generations of journalists and leaders of press agencies is expected to take place at 1:30 p.m. on June 18 at the Provincial People's Committee. After that, the official celebration will be held at 3:30 p.m. on the same day at Hall No. 1 with the participation of more than 500 delegates from the central to local levels.
The program includes a welcome performance, a screening of the report "100 Years of Quang Nam journalism", speeches by provincial leaders and representatives of press agencies, the awarding of the "For the cause of journalism" Medal, and praising exemplary journalists.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that this is a special event, both an occasion for gratitude and an opportunity for the Quang Nam press to look back on its development journey and continue to affirm its pioneering role in information work and orienting public opinion.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to coordinate closely, implement on schedule, and ensure the most solemn, practical, and effective organization of the event.
