On the afternoon of March 6, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet visited the Provincial Data Center.
The Provincial Data Center is located in Tam Ky City, part of the project "Building e-Government and Digital Government of Quang Nam Province from 2021 to 2025."
The Provincial Data Center, the upgraded WAN system, and the Provincial Information Security Monitoring and Operation Center (SOC) are items in the project, which was officially launched in December 2022. Up to now, the items have been completed and put into operation, meeting the requirements for providing infrastructure and ensuring information security to serve the Digital Government in the province.
According to the report of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Nam Province, the project has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of about 249 billion VND. Of which, the Provincial Data Center has invested 120 billion VND.
The Provincial Data Center system includes a server room, the Provincial Integrated Data Center Network System is a large-scale communication infrastructure, providing many services to people and businesses inside and outside Quang Nam province.
The system also integrates virtualization technology and modern information security solutions such as anti-network attacks, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and multi-factor authentication. The project aims to serve about 1 million users who are citizens and businesses in the province, ensuring the provision of computing resources and data storage to effectively serve the needs of data management and exploitation of the province.
Through the on-site inspection, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated the progress of the project, emphasizing that this is an important project contributing to the overall success of the digital transformation program of Quang Nam province. The center's inauguration is also of great significance on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam Province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).
The Provincial Party Secretary shared the difficulties and hardships of the cadres, employees, and police forces working at the center in the early days of restructuring the apparatus. At the same time, he requested relevant departments and branches to continue to closely coordinate and promptly complete the remaining items on schedule to soon put them into effective operation, meeting the expectations of the people and businesses in the province.
