On the morning of March 6, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan had a working session with the Department of Home Affairs and related departments and branches to listen to the progress report on the purchase of gifts for families of meritorious people, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Quang Nam Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).
By the assigned tasks, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Department of Home Affairs) sent a wide invitation to the mass media. Through appraisal and evaluation, 04 participating units met the selection criteria.
The Department has also implemented the following steps: Openly inviting bids for purchasing gifts in kind, visiting, and giving to people with revolutionary contributions in the province. At the same time, on March 5, the Department opened bids online; the package price is more than 31 billion VND; the package implementation time is 15 days.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan and related departments and branches discussed several related contents on bidding work to ensure compliance with regulations; reviewing the list of localities to ensure accuracy and correct objects; carefully checking goods before delivering to localities. At the same time, the Department of Home Affairs was assigned to proactively develop a gift-giving plan, ensuring solemnity, no errors, and delays.
It is known that the whole province will have more than 60,000 gifts (1 gift includes 500,000 VND in kind and 500,000 VND in cash) sent to people with meritorious services on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).
