On the morning of May 10 at Hoiana Resort & Golf Resort, within the framework of the conference to implement Decision 463 of the Prime Minister, the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and the People's Committee of Quang Nam province signed a strategic cooperation agreement to apply digital technology, IoT, AI and digital ecosystem to comprehensively develop the Ngoc Linh ginseng brand - Vietnam's national medicinal treasure.
According to the agreement, Viettel will participate in the commercial distribution chain and develop the Ngoc Linh ginseng brand, taking advantage of the widespread business ecosystem nationwide and moving towards exporting to international markets. At the same time, the Group will apply comprehensive digital technology to enhance the value and quality, and ensure sustainable development for this national medicinal treasure.
The two sides have outlined a long-term cooperation roadmap, aiming to invest in building factories to process, extract essences, and produce products from Ngoc Linh Ginseng, such as medicinal herbs for health protection, functional foods, beauty essences, and other high-value product lines.
On the side of Quang Nam province, it will create the most favorable conditions for Viettel Group to conduct survey activities, research, and invest in projects by the provisions of Vietnamese law. At the same time, it is responsible for directing agencies, units, and localities of Quang Nam province to guide Viettel Group on investment, construction, land, and related procedures.
Through the cooperation program, the two sides commit to promote investment, production, processing and development of Ngoc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs towards the goal of sustainable development, enhancing economic value and preserving rare genetic resources of Ngoc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs in Quang Nam province; Contribute to the synchronous development of medicinal material areas and the processing, production, business and scientific research system according to Decision 463/QD-TTg dated February 28, 2025 of the Prime Minister.
