The excellent spring victory on April 30, 1975, was a brilliant milestone ending the longest, most difficult, and greatest resistance war in the history of the Vietnamese people against foreign invaders. Sharing in that victory, there was a great contribution from the army and people of Quang Nam and the officers and soldiers of the Military Region 5 with glorious and resounding victories, making their names in history.
With such great significance, the celebration will include a parade of forces from all over the country. Officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Military Region 5 in general and the Armed Forces of Quang Nam province in particular are very honored and proud to participate in this important mission. More than 400 officers and soldiers of the Military Region 5 units have actively practiced persistently, not afraid of difficulties and hardships with all the determination and pride of Uncle Ho's soldiers, with the desire to contribute to the overall success of the Anniversary Ceremony, leaving behind good feelings and images of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" of Military Region 5 in the hearts of compatriots and soldiers nationwide.
To encourage the A50 task force to go to the South to continue training, the Quang Nam Provincial Military Command promptly advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to organize a farewell ceremony for the A50 task force before going to the South to participate in the parade at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Tam Ky train station (Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province) on the evening of April 4, 2025, was more crowded and bustling than usual. Leaders of Military Region 5, provincial leaders, the Provincial Military Command, departments, branches, sectors, mass organizations in the province, and many local people were present to encourage the officers and soldiers before leaving for the South.
The meeting, encouragement, and farewell to the officers and soldiers of the A50 force leaving for the South to participate in the parade at the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country not only showed the affection and concern of leaders at all levels but also through this activity aimed to educate the tradition of patriotism, national pride, and self-respect for all classes of people in the province. More importantly, today's farewell ceremony partly recreated the moments when 50 years ago, grandmothers and mothers saw off their husbands, fathers, and sons to the South to fight against the invaders, the country was reunited, and the two regions of the South and the North were under one roof.
