Towards the International Blood Donor Day (June 14), the Quang Nam Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation will organize a ceremony to honor individuals and families donating blood voluntarily 20 times or more on May 29, 2025, in Tam Ky city.
The program aims to honor outstanding examples in the voluntary blood donation movement, spreading the spirit of "a drop of blood given - a life left behind" in the community. It is expected that there will be 82 delegates who are families and individuals who have donated blood voluntarily 20 times or more. The honored delegates will receive certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee, along with meaningful prizes and souvenirs.
The ceremony took place at the Hall of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee with many activities such as art performances, reportage screenings, and speeches by volunteers. Before that, the delegates will offer incense at the Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. This is an opportunity to recognize the silent but extremely noble contributions of voluntary blood donors - the "silent heroes" who help save the lives of thousands of patients each year in the province.
