This afternoon, January 10, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung, and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung co-chaired a press conference to inform about the socio-economic situation in 2024 and key tasks in 2025. Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, news agencies, and newspapers operating in the province.
At the press conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that 2024, Quang Nam's economy is assessed to recover positively with many growth indicators: The growth rate of gross domestic product (GRDP) in 2024 is estimated to increase by 7.1% (in 2023, it was negative 8.37%). Industrial production recovered impressively (up 13.5%).
In addition to the achieved results, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung also pointed out some remaining problems such as: Enterprises still face difficulties, disbursement of public investment capital despite efforts has not yet achieved expectations, a number of civil servants and public employees are afraid of making mistakes, shirking responsibility...
At the meeting, reporters also asked questions to the provincial leaders about overcoming and upgrading traffic infrastructure, developing inspection centers, limiting the load on Vo Chi Cong Street, the issue of streamlining, reorganizing the apparatus, and digital transformation of Quang Nam in 2025.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that entering 2025 with the theme: "Resolutely implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus; promoting economic growth, digital transformation; combating waste; successfully organize the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term", Quang Nam has set several key targets such as Gross regional domestic product (GRDP at 2010 comparative prices) increases by 9.5-10%; investment capital/GRDP ratio accounts for over 32%; budget revenue in the area reaches 25,000 billion VND...
Quang Nam will focus on drastically implementing the digital transformation program, digital government associated with promoting administrative reform; strengthening investment promotion and attraction; promoting innovation, creativity, and startups; supporting enterprises to develop production and business in the new situation; in which, effectively implementing the Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; speeding up the progress of planning and implementing the Planning.
