Quang Nam meets Catholic and Protestant dignitaries on the occasion of Christmas 2024

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Phan Thai Binh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Huynh Thi Thuy Dung, and leaders of departments and branches attended the meeting.

On the occasion of celebrating Christmas 2024 and welcoming the New Year 2025, the provincial leaders sent their best wishes for peace and happiness to dignitaries, monks, and all Christian compatriots in the province.

Quang Nam is a locality with people following many religions, with about 213,000 people, accounting for nearly 15% of the province's population. Of which, Catholics and Protestants are about 47,000 people, accounting for about 22% of the people following religions in the province.

In recent years, with the motto "good life - good religion", Catholics and Protestants, together with people of all walks of life in the province, have united and actively responded to emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and strengthening the great national unity bloc. In particular, the movement of enthusiastic labor production, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, striving to improve life, and the movement joining hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas stands out.

With their prestige, parish priests, pastors in charge of parishes, branches, etc. have, together with the political system, mobilized parishioners to contribute money, work days, donate land, voluntarily dismantle architectural objects, etc. to open roads and build rural and urban infrastructure. Thanks to that, many villages and metropolitan areas have been built and renovated, creating conditions for economic development and improving all aspects of people's lives.
