This morning, October 25, Quang Nam College coordinated with the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) and Green Viet Biodiversity Conservation Center (GreenViet) to organize the Forum "Students with biodiversity conservation" in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, leaders of departments, branches, scientific experts and many students attended the forum.
Speaking at the forum, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh - Principal of Quang Nam College said that students are not only a dynamic and creative force but also the future generation, playing an important role in sustainable development.
At the forum, experts presented papers on Biodiversity Conservation - Youth Action; The role of the media in raising youth awareness of environmental protection and biodiversity conservation; Experience in connecting students to carry out biodiversity conservation work. In addition, the forum also launched the movement "Students - Actions to conserve biodiversity".
Recognizing and appreciating the initiative and responsibility of Quang Nam College in organizing the forum, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan said that the knowledge shared by experts at this forum will help students raise their awareness of environmental protection; at the same time, equip them with the necessary skills to participate in conservation projects in the future.
Comrade Tran Anh Tuan said that biodiversity conservation is not only the responsibility of managers but requires the cooperation of the community, especially the role of young people, in which students play an important role.
