Accelerating progress, completing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide
On the morning of June 22, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 5th meeting on accelerating the implementation of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the progress of disbursement of public investment capital, and key national projects and works.

On the side of Quang Nam, there were the participation of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan and representatives of relevant Departments, Boards and branches.
For Quang Nam, after review, the total number of actual houses in the province to be implemented in the 2023-2025 period is 10,398 houses (6,945 newly built houses; 3,453 repaired houses). As of June 20, 2025, support has been provided to 10,030/10,398 houses, reaching 96.46%.
The total number of remaining houses to be deployed and completed before August 31, 2025, is 368. Of these, Phuoc Son district has the most with 184 houses, and Dong Giang district has 153 houses.
Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to make efforts and determination to complete all goals and tasks in all areas in 2025, as set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress. In particular, in the field of transport infrastructure development, from now until the end of the year, it is necessary to complete about 800 km of expressways to achieve the goal of putting 3,000 km of expressways into operation in 2025, opening the expressway from Cao Bang to Ca Mau.
The Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses is a great and humane policy of the Party and State, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, bringing important significance in many aspects, affirming "national love, compatriots' love", demonstrating the responsibility, love, and sharing of the whole community.
To achieve the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide before August 31, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested ministries, departments, branches, and localities to focus all their efforts, deploy rapidly, and even more quickly the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. For the houses that have started construction, focus on urging and mobilizing support forces to complete them as soon as possible. The remaining houses that have not started construction will start construction simultaneously in June 2025 to complete the progress on schedule according to the set goals.
