Accompanying were leaders of departments, branches, and sectors: the Provincial People's Council's Social and Cultural Committee, the Departments of Health, Finance, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, etc., and the Dien Ban Town People's Committee.

Recommendation for dissolution

From March 2023 to the present, the clinic has been closed, and many construction items have seriously degraded. Doctor Nguyen Tai - Director of Quang Nam Regional General Hospital said that the clinic has not been operating effectively for the following reasons: being located near medical facilities of the same level, same class, near the ward health station, Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine Hospital and Binh An General Clinic in the industrial park.

Workers from far away come to work and then go home, so the number of patients coming for examination is very small, the highest average is 18 people/day, and some days only 3 patients are received. This greatly affects the hospital's finances as well as the mindset of the medical staff, doctors, and workers of the unit.

For many of the above reasons, the Board of Directors of Quang Nam Regional General Hospital proposed to dissolve the clinic and hand it over to the Department of Health.

Converting activities, serving the people

At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of departments and branches said that the amount of investment in building the clinic is not small; the prolonged closure has caused a waste of resources, so it is necessary to study many options to convert the operating model appropriately.

Accordingly, the delegates attending the meeting proposed to dissolve the clinic and take advantage of the facilities to transfer the functions and tasks of the Department of Oriental Medicine and Traditional Medicine of Quang Nam Regional General Hospital. This will reduce the burden on the hospital and the same time, create sufficient space to develop it into a type 1 hospital according to the proposed roadmap.

After listening to comments, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh agreed with the above plan, assigned the Department of Health to preside over, coordinate with relevant agencies and Quang Nam Regional General Hospital to complete the dissolution procedures, and at the same time resolve documents related to land, planning, funding, repair of facilities and other conditions
