Many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam
This morning, February 6, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province Le Van Dung, and the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh chaired the meeting, listening to reports on the progress of implementing activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1939 - March 28, 2025).
The head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Huynh Thi Thuy Dung and representatives of departments and branches attended.
According to the plan, the celebration will be attended by about 1,500 delegates, including leaders of the Party, State, central agencies, representatives of generals who are children of Quang Nam, international delegates, and leaders of provinces and cities.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the Standing Agency of the Organizing Committee for Major Holidays, the main ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. on March 24, 2025, at 24/3 Square, Tam Ky City. After the ceremony is an art program and fireworks display. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, and Quang Nam Radio and Television.
In addition to the main ceremony, there will also be a series of events such as: organizing delegations to offer incense and visit martyrs' cemeteries, visiting and giving gifts to some heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids, martyrs' families, and policy families, organizing exhibitions and displays on the socio-economic and defense achievements of Quang Nam after 50 years of liberation. Introducing typical products, OCOP products, and many other activities taking place from the province to the grassroots.
Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung emphasized that the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Quang Nam Province's Liberation Day is of utmost importance, being a broad political activity of the entire Party, army, and people in the province. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare activities carefully and thoroughly, ensuring progress and quality.
