Tien Phuoc honors 70 individuals who won the 18th Huynh Thuc Khang Award in 2025
On the occasion of the New Year of At Ty 2025 and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), on the morning of February 3, Tien Phuoc District People's Committee held the 18th Huynh Thuc Khang Award ceremony - 2025. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan attended and presented the awards.
The 18th Huynh Thuc Khang Award in 2025 honored 70 individuals with outstanding academic achievements with awards of 5 million VND and 3 million VND/individual. Among them, there are 2 PhDs, 11 individuals who graduated from university with honors, 5 individuals who won the First Prize in the Provincial Excellent Student Competition, 52 students who have been excellent students for 12 consecutive years and have good conduct. The total prize fund is over 210 million VND.
In 2004, Tien Phuoc district decided to establish the Huynh Thuc Khang Award. After 21 years of operation with 18 awards, nearly 1,500 individuals have been honored, including 1 Associate Professor, 17 Doctors, 55 Masters and many excellent bachelors, good bachelors, excellent students for 12 consecutive years and students with high prizes in exams with a total amount of nearly 3.8 billion VND.
Vice Chairman of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee Duong Duc Lin said that Tien Phuoc is the birthplace of patriots and great scholars such as Phan Chau Trinh, Nguyen Dinh Tuu, and Le Vinh Khanh. In particular, the outstanding patriotic doctor Huynh Thuc Khang, one of the "Four Tigers" of the ancient Central region, is a shining example of the tradition of studiousness, noble and simple lifestyle. Mr. Huynh was posthumously awarded the Gold Star Order by the President "for his exceptionally great and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation".
