The delegation came to offer flowers and incense at the Cay Coc Struggle Memorial (Tien Tho commune). This is the place to commemorate more than 330 compatriots and loyal party members who fell in the Cay Coc Struggle in the last days of September 1954 before the heinous crimes of the invading American imperialists and their lackeys who sold out the country.

At the memorial service, the delegation observed a minute of silence and lit incense to express their respect and remembrance of the great sacrifices of compatriots and comrades for the revolutionary cause, of liberating the homeland and the country.

The delegation of the Provincial People's Committee also came to offer flowers and incense at the Dong Trai - Lo Vang Massacre Memorial Site (Tien Cam Commune). According to local history, in 1955, before surrendering to the Ngo Dinh Diem regime, the Nationalist Party committed barbaric massacres; in which, they captured 200 comrades and our people and buried them alive in pig pits in Dong Trai, and captured 35 people and buried them alive in the Go Vang pig pit. On June 19, 2009, the Provincial People's Committee decided to rank the Dong Trai and Go Vang Massacre Memorial Sites as provincial-level relics.

Next, the delegation came to offer flowers and incense to the heroic martyrs resting at the Tien Cam Commune Martyrs' Cemetery.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung also visited and wished a happy new year to war invalid Tran Thanh Thu - Former Secretary of the Tien Phuoc District Party Committee (residing in Tien Ky Town).
