Ministry of Home Affairs deploys tasks for 2025
On December 21, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a national online conference to review the work of home affairs in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Attending and directing the conference was Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh.
On the side of the Ministry of Home Affairs was Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra. Attending the provincial bridge was the Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Phan Thai Binh.
According to the report of the Ministry of Home Affairs, from the beginning of 2024 to now, the Ministry has been assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister to perform 256 tasks, of which 184 tasks with deadlines have been completed, 72 tasks are continuing to be performed, and there are no overdue tasks that have not been completed.
The Ministry completed the goal of rearranging district and commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period in 2024 so that localities can focus on organizing Party congresses at all levels in 2025; at the same time, it submitted to the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee to establish and upgrade many urban administrative units, including the centrally-run Hue city and the metropolitan Government in Hai Phong city; completed the task of advising on the implementation of salary policy reform for civil servants, public employees and armed forces.
The Ministry advised on the completion of projects and plans to rearrange and streamline the Government's apparatus according to the direction of the Central Government and the Government; advised on launching many special movements and emulation campaigns, creating an atmosphere of enthusiastic competition in work and production, mobilizing all resources for socio-economic development and social security so that no one is left behind.
State administrative reform was implemented. State management of religion ensures stability and promptly and effectively resolves complex issues arising in religious and belief activities. Inspection and legal work in 2024 achieved many important results, positively contributing to the effectiveness of state management of the Ministry; improving efficiency and discipline in public service; detecting and proposing competent authorities to amend and supplement existing shortcomings and limitations in mechanisms, policies, and laws in the field of home affairs.
At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified outstanding results in home affairs work in a number of fields and localities and proposed solutions for implementation in the coming time.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh suggested that 2025 is the year of the term's completion, the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as the home affairs sector need to focus on implementing 11 key tasks and solutions; especially focusing on implementing Resolution 18, guiding ministries, branches and localities to arrange and streamline the public administrative apparatus.
