Quang Nam establishes a Steering Committee on implementing measures to prevent and combat waste

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee on implementing measures to prevent and combat waste, headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung.

The Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee are assigned to be Deputy Steering Committee members, and the Steering Committee members are leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities with related projects and works.

The Steering Committee is responsible for directing and operating the review, development, promulgation, and effective implementation of the plan to implement measures to prevent and combat waste in the province in 2025 and the following years according to each sector and field of the province.

Focus on reviewing and developing plans to implement waste prevention and combat contents related to public investment projects; investment projects outside the state budget; management and use of public assets; management and land use in economic zones, industrial parks, clusters, urban areas, tourist areas, etc.

Determined to make waste prevention and control a regular and continuous task to remove bottlenecks and bottlenecks to promote social investment resources from land, resources, and non-budgetary investment capital, while at the same time economically and effectively using public investment capital and state budget expenditures.

Develop internal regulations, rules, and operating procedures of the Steering Committee, ensuring that waste prevention and control work is carried out by procedures and must not be delayed, affecting the progress of work.

Members of the Steering Committee are responsible for assigning cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers under their management authority to assist members of the Steering Committee to ensure consistency, timeliness, and effectiveness. The Steering Committee is responsible to the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the implementation of assigned tasks.

The Steering Committee operates under a regime that emphasizes the personal responsibility of the head; members perform their duties on a part-time basis and are responsible for the assigned tasks. The Head of the Steering Committee and Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee are allowed to use the seal of the Provincial People's Committee to perform their duties and direct the activities of the Steering Committee; members of the Steering Committee use the seal of their agencies and units during the performance of their duties.
