Quang Nam Provincial People's Council opens 28th Session, 10th Term

The meeting was attended by comrades: Nguyen Duc Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; leaders of the State Audit Office of Region III; Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and delegates of the Provincial People's Council, 10th term. The meeting took place over 3 days, from December 4 to 6.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung said that 2024 is the fourth year of implementing the socio-economic development plan for the period 2021 - 2026, in the context that the whole country and our province are facing many difficulties and challenges, but with the focus and efforts of the entire political system, the business community and the people in the province, the province's socio-economic situation continues to have positive changes.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung, recently, the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat held a National Conference to deploy and summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 22nd Party Central Committee, report on the socio-economic situation in 2024, solutions to accelerate socio-economic development in 2025 and remove institutional bottlenecks and bottlenecks with many extremely important contents.

On December 3, the 18th Provincial Party Committee Conference was also successfully held, setting out many major targets, important orientations, and solutions to remove bottlenecks to successfully implement political tasks, and socio-economic development in 2025; achieving a growth rate of 9.5 - 10%.

According to the program, the meeting reviewed reports from the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies and assessed the results achieved in the fields of Socio-economic, national defense - security; direction and implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council. At the same time, points out shortcomings and limitations, clarifies causes in the process of performing tasks, and proposes goals, tasks, and fundamental solutions for socio-economic development in 2025.

Consider the annual work report of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on the work of participating in government building in 2024. At the same time, conduct questions and answers, focusing on issues with many difficulties and major obstacles in the past.

Conduct a review and decision on many important thematic contents to concretize the policies of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee into the practical conditions of the locality, create mechanisms and policies to promote potential and promote socio-economic development of the province.

Evaluate the report on thematic supervision results of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Committees of the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Council Delegation Groups submitted to the session. At the same time, consider, dismiss, and elect additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term; give opinions on the draft resolution on the Plan to organize regular meetings in 2025 of the 10th Provincial People's Council.
