Opening of the first session of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Quang Nam Province – 2024

On the afternoon of September 23, at the Provincial People's Committee hall, the preparatory session of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Quang Nam Province - 2024 took place. Comrade Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and 250 outstanding delegates representing more than 150,000 ethnic minorities in the whole province attended the congress.

In his opening speech at the first session of the Congress, Comrade Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Presidium, emphasized that the Provincial People's Committee and all levels, sectors, and localities have made efforts to lead and direct the successful and timely organization of the congresses and conferences of ethnic minorities in 13 districts and cities in the province.

At the same time, the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee, sub-committees, and departments, sectors, and branches have actively and thoughtfully prepared all aspects, from the content of the political report, personnel work, and commendation work to service work to successfully organize the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities according to plan.

The content of the first working session of the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Quang Nam Province includes a report on the verification of the qualifications of delegates, Consultation to elect the Presidium and Secretariat, approval of the regulations and program of the official session; Discuss and comment on the draft Political Report and Resolution Letter.

Delegates attending the Congress expect breakthrough policies to further promote socio-economic development in mountainous areas, especially in the fields of poverty reduction, health care, education, investment in medicinal plant development, etc.
