Innovating strategic breakthrough tasks for rapid and sustainable development of Quang Nam province

The workshop was chaired by the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Le Van Dung, and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Nam Hung, with the participation of comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of departments, branches, localities and domestic experts, scientists and investors.

Speaking at the workshop, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Dung, said that the Resolution of the 22nd Provincial Party Congress sets out the goal of rapid and sustainable development, striving to make Quang Nam a fairly developed province in the country by 2030. To achieve the objectives set out in the Resolution, three strategic breakthrough tasks for the 2021 - 2025 period are identified, including building a synchronous infrastructure system and urban development; Proactively participating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution associated with developing high-quality human resources; Promoting improvement of the investment environment and innovative startups.

At the workshop, experts all shared the view that Quang Nam is located in a strategic position in the Central Key Economic Region—one of the most dynamic economic regions in the country. With its geographical location bringing strategic advantages, Quang Nam has a lot of potential and room for rapid and sustainable development.

Along with professional opinions, and discussions of scientists and experts on the orientation of strategic breakthrough tasks related to infrastructure and urban development, digital transformation of the digital economy, and digital society. Promoting the role of regional factors in promoting economic growth and promoting FDI attraction in the new period ensures rapid and sustainable development, associated with green growth, circular economy, and climate change adaptation. At the same time, it is necessary to promote the improvement of the investment environment and innovative startups; and ensure conditions for enterprises to promote the application of science and technology and innovation.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Dung, the discussions and speeches were carefully and meticulously prepared, clarifying the practical implementation of breakthrough tasks of each industry and locality in the province. At the same time, propose strategic breakthroughs and key tasks in the XXIII term associated with the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 to create new momentum, promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, contributing to the effort to make Quang Nam a fairly developed province of the country by 2030.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Dung, requested the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Department of Planning and Investment to synthesize the opinions of the delegates, complete the Report on the Assessment of the Implementation Results of 03 Breakthrough Tasks in the XXII term and propose breakthrough tasks in the XXIII term as a basis for building the Political Report of the Documents of the XXIII Provincial Party Congress.
