On the afternoon of December 9, the Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung received Mr. Meynardo LB. Montealegre - Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam and the working delegation. Leaders of relevant departments and branches attended the reception.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung was pleased to welcome Mr. Meynardo LB. Montealegre - Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam to visit and work in Quang Nam; simultaneously, he said that Vietnam and the Philippines have a good relationship and cooperation in many fields.
Quang Nam has also welcomed Philippine delegations to visit for work and tourism in recent years; however, according to Mr. Le Van Dung, there have not been many Philippine investors coming to cooperate in Quang Nam.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung also informed the Ambassador about the potential and strengths of Quang Nam, highlighting the potential and strengths of Quang Nam.
Accordingly, Quang Nam province is located in the key economic region of the Central region, with an area of over 10,574 square kilometers. In 2024, Quang Nam will welcome nearly 8 million visitors. Along with the achievements in the socio-economic field, in recent times, Quang Nam province has continuously expanded foreign relations and promoted exchanges and cooperation with localities and foreign partners. The locality has attracted 200 FDI projects, most of which have been successful, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung hopes that in the coming time, the Ambassador will continue to be a bridge, bringing Philippine investors to learn about and invest in Quang Nam and continue to pay attention to and promote the implementation of cultural exchange promotion activities.
Mr. Meynardo LB. Montealegre - Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam thanked the warm welcome of the leaders of Quang Nam province. The Philippine Ambassador highly appreciated the potential and strengths of Quang Nam, especially in sustainable tourism development. At the same time, he hoped that the two sides would continue to facilitate cultural exchanges, enhance introductions, and coordinate cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, etc.
